Math

Students in College Today are being taught the curriculum for the first Kent State mathematics class required by many majors.  This course is called Modeling Algebra Plus (MATH 10071).  Students will have a chance to take the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) test called College Algebra.  This test is used in colleges and universities all over the country.  Any student who achieves a 50 on the test will be granted credit in most colleges and universities for the first mathematics course.

Students in College Today are instructed by two adjunct professors from Kent State University–Prof. Judy Benjamin (Ellet) and Prof. Amy Lane (Firestone).  In addition, students are assisted by Dr. Sonya Irving, a math education professor at Kent State.
